Department/Unit Summary

The Medical Surgical Unit (Med/Surg) at Castleview embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This 21-bed unit operates within a trauma III hospital setting, ensuring patients receive optimal medical attention and support.

Castleview Hospital maintains a Gold Seal of Approval® from The Joint Commission, is an Accredited Chest Pain Center, a Stroke designated facility, and has been named a Top 100 and Top 20 rural and community hospital several times.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and requirements:

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor̢۪s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Associates degree preferred

• Must have a current valid Utah nursing license, compact state license or Utah apprentice RN License

• BasicLifeSupport(BLS)within60days of hire.

• AdvancedCardiovascularLifeSupport(ACLS)within6 monthsof hire.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.
