Qualifications Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required Experience: Two (2) years of job-related leadership experience Preferred Experience: Prior experience as a Scheduler and working in an OR setting Required Certification/License/Registry: Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure] Responsibilities Reports To: Executive Director of Surgical Services Supervises: Schedulers Responsibilities Your Role: Oversee and manage all surgical services scheduling operations, ensuring efficient and accurate coordination of operating rooms, procedural areas Develop, implement, and maintain standardized scheduling policies, procedures, and workflows to optimize operating room utilization and support organizational goals related to access, throughput, and efficiency. Serve as the primary point of accountability for block scheduling management, including allocation, monitoring, release, and optimization of block time in collaboration with surgical service leaders and physicians. Analyze scheduling data and performance metrics (e.g., utilization, cancellation rates, delays, case duration accuracy) to identify trends, resolve inefficiencies, and implement process improvements.
