10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (0730-1800 or 0630-1700); one late shift per week; call coverage 1 night per week; weekend coverage 1 weekend every other month Highlights: Comprehensive cardiac cath lab experience including diagnostic and interventional procedures, PCI, TAVR, and structural heart cases Work with advanced technologies including Impella, IABP, Rotablator atherectomy, and Watchman procedures 5-room lab with daily census of approximately 30 patients serving adult and geriatric populations Epic charting system with supporting technologies including Pyxis, MAC LAB, and CUPID 24-hour orientation with self-scheduling model and scrubs provided Minimum 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience required; local candidates accepted Requirements: Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (required at start) Current ACLS and BLS certifications Minimum 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience Proficiency in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart cath, PCI, stent placement, and IABP/Impella management Strong skills in procedural sedation administration and monitoring, IV therapy, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation Competency with sheath removal, topical hemostasis devices, and vascular access management Experience with emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, vasopressors, and thrombolytics Ability to scrub and circulate procedures as needed Willingness to float within the facility as needed based on census and clinical skill set Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a high-volume, state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab with exposure to both routine and complex interventional procedures including structural heart interventions.
