Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM. No call requirement, though may need to stay past shift end to complete scheduled procedures. Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms. Highlights: Specialize in GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy Provide moderate sedation and manage pre/post procedure care including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery Work with an experienced surgical team performing multispecialty procedures in a Magnet-designated academic medical center Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide 32 hours of comprehensive orientation provided Serve adult and geriatric patient populations in a leading teaching and referral center Requirements: Active Wisconsin nursing license or compact license from permanent address state Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in procedural specialty Recent experience performing moderate sedation and recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures Academic Level 1 Trauma Center or similar large hospital experience required Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the last 12 months BLS and ACLS certifications through American Heart Association only Basic arrhythmia interpretation experience; must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start Experience with airway management, IV starts and maintenance, conscious sedation monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation Permanent address must be 50 miles or more from the facility Flu vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions only Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a Magnet-recognized facility ranked as Wisconsin's number one hospital and recognized as one of the nation's premier teaching institutions and referral centers.
