Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical. This position involves providing care for adult and geriatric patients. The nurse will be responsible for various medical-surgical procedures and duties. Ratios are maintained at 1:6 for patient care. Weekend shifts are required, totaling 6 within a 6-week period. Travelers may be required to float to similar units as needed. No on-call requirement is associated with this position. Nurses will receive brief orientations upon arrival to the unit. The unit consists of 32 beds with a daily census of around 32 patients. The interdisciplinary support team includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services. Successful candidates will possess skills in various medical and surgical care areas. Essential skills include wound care, IV management, and patient education. The documentation system utilized is Epic. The environment promotes collaboration among healthcare professionals.
