3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), day/night rotation every 4 weeks, every other weekend required, 36 hours per week Highlights: Critical care nursing in a specialized Neuro ICU environment with a patient ratio of 1:1-2 Rotation between day and night shifts every 4 weeks based on unit needs Epic EMR system in use; on-call and floating to equivalent or lower acuity units required Comprehensive patient population including stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, seizures, neuromuscular diseases, and post-operative neurosurgery patients Advanced procedures including invasive neuromonitoring, EVD and ICP monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and EEG monitoring Extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams Requirements: Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience required Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission; education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring Epic EHR experience strongly preferred Previous travel experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or director Why It's a Great Opportunity: This Neuro ICU position offers the chance to provide advanced critical care to a diverse patient population in a collaborative environment supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team.
