Night shift, 13-26 week assignment, every other weekend required, patient ratio 1:6 Highlights: Medical Surgical unit with Oncology patient population; daily census of 42 patients Chemotherapy/biotherapy administration experience required (IV, PO, and injection routes) Comprehensive skill set including port access, blood product administration, central/PICC line management, and wound care 24-hour orientation with Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management Contract lengths of 13-26 weeks accepted; first-time travelers welcome Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams Requirements: Active North Carolina or Compact RN license Minimum 2 years of inpatient nursing experience Oncology Certification required (ONS/ONCC Chemo Certification) Current BLS certification Demonstrated experience in Med/Surg, colostomy care, port access, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line care, heparin and insulin administration, surgical drains, chest tubes, wound care/wound vac, and isolation precautions Ability to administer chemotherapy as needed Willingness to float to similar units and alternate care locations including ED inpatient holding Availability to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team and respond during catastrophic events or disasters as assigned Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a diverse medical-surgical and oncology patient population while expanding your clinical expertise in chemotherapy administration and complex medical care.
