Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required.
Must-Have: - Previous experience in Phase 1 PACU required. - Experience with ambulatory or outpatient care, pain management, and Phase 2 recovery preferred. - Strong knowledge of EKG and dysrhythmia recognition/management. - Ability to manage central lines, IVs, and administer procedural sedation.
Description: This role requires a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU. The nurse will be responsible for the post-anesthesia care of patients. They will monitor patient recovery, manage pain, and provide discharge instructions. Nurses must demonstrate competency in EKG and pass the EKG exam. Call coverage may be required, along with weekend and holiday shifts as needed. Candidates should have experience with various surgical cases, including orthopedic, urology, and gynecological procedures. The ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team is essential. Candidates should be aware of the facility's policies regarding attendance and punctuality. Flexibility with scheduling is necessary for this position. Meeting compliance requirements within the designated timelines is mandatory.
