Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the PACU. Nurses will rotate between pre-op and PACU. The PACU has 4 beds. The Pre-op has 8 beds. Nurses will also support the recovery phase. The unit handles both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery. The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2 in Pre-op and 1:1/1:3 in PACU. In recovery, ratios are 1:2/1:3. Nurses should be able to read and interpret ECG rhythms. RNs will receive support from Medical Assistants. There is a charge nurse on each shift. The charge nurse does take an assignment. Successful candidates must demonstrate flexibility in scheduling. Scrubs will be provided for staff. No weeknight, weekend, or holiday call requirements exist. No ICU patients will recover in PACU.
