As a professional driver with ABF Freight, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe transportation of cargo to and from various destinations. This role requires the ability to load and unload cargo efficiently and safely. Key Responsibilities Load and unload cargo using appropriate techniques and equipment Perform pre-trip inspections and tractor/trailer maintenance Exercise independent judgment when building and tearing down trailers to optimize time and resources Operate a forklift as needed Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets accurately Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements At least 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience or completion of our ABF Driver Development finishing school program A safe driving record and good stable work history The ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements Benefits As an ABF Freight driver, you can expect: Competitive Teamster Union Scale wages Overtime pay after 8 hours/day Health and welfare benefits with no employee paid premiums Sick leave and paid holidays Life insurance and a pension plan The opportunity to contribute to a 401(k) plan
