Job Summary
An Ultrasound Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the activities of the Ultrasound staff.  Will schedule, monitor and evaluate the work of assigned staff.  Performs high quality Ultrasound exams, according to exam protocol, and in a timely manner.  Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Education
Required
Graduate from a Radiologic Technology Program OR Appropriate training through the military services OR ARDMS
Experience:
Preferred
Three years of clinical experience
Demonstrates competency in 3 major specialty areas recognized by the ARDMS, ARRT, CCI, or other accrediting body and performs exams at a proficient skill level (i.e. General, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast)
One to two years of experience as a Supervisor
Certification/Licensure:
Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Current, Valid Texas Driver’s License
The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Sonography (S) OR The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and Registered in one of the following:
Abdominal
Vascular
Breast
OBGYN
