Job Title: Vascular Access Specialist "> This role offers the opportunity to work as a specialist in establishing and maintaining optimal venous access for patients. The Vascular Access Specialist evaluates patients' needs, places peripheral intravenous catheters, midlines, and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC lines), and provides coaching to other RNs on developing their venipuncture skills. The Vascular Access Specialist functions within the scope of RN licensure to assess patient IV access needs, plan, implement, evaluate effectiveness, make recommendations to nursing staff and physicians, and document patient care. This includes providing education to patients and families related to vascular access based on age-related needs. "> Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. 5 years of acute care experience preferred. Valid State RN license required. Valid CPR/ACLS certification required. Certification in Venous Access - Board Certified (VA-BC) within one year.
