About The Position
Job Title: Locum Physician Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology Duration: 13 months Shift: Day - 8x5 - 09:00 AM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Board certification required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Low-risk pregnancy Description: Locum OBGYN or FPOB provider is needed. The provider will work in clinic for four full days a week, likely Tuesday to Friday. They will take call while working in the clinic. No weekend call will be required. The average number of deliveries per month is 30. This is a small rural hospital. Physicians typically perform their own continuities. The clinic is located behind the hospital. Patient encounters per shift will be two. Credentialing timeframe is estimated at 30 to 60 days. Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required. Required skills include routine delivery, vaginal delivery, low forceps, decision-making for c-section, complicated deliveries, c-section, breech deliveries, and multiple births. High-risk pregnancy experience is preferred. Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations is preferred. Surgical gynecology skills, including open procedures, laparoscopic, and operatively major procedures, are required. Laser certification is not required.
