Description:

Minimum experience required is 2 years.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Patient population includes adults to geriatrics.

General diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-operative complications, cardiogenic shock, GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT.

Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

No travel pairs are allowed regardless of placement on another unit.

Patient ratio is 1:2-3, and travelers should be prepared for the possibility of taking a third patient.

The unit has 24 rooms with an average daily census of 19.

Unit systems utilized include Pyxis and Epic.

Scrub color is navy blue.

Travelers are expected to work every other weekend unless otherwise specified.

Floating within the facility is required as necessary.

If assigned to work over major holidays, travelers are expected to be available for work.

If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, travelers are expected to work it.

If two major holidays occur, travelers must work both.

If three major holidays occur, travelers are expected to work two of the holidays.

Full compliance is required to ensure an on-time start.

References from supervisory roles are highly preferred during submission.

Travelers must be available to complete core items promptly.

The holidays recognized include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Candidates must be experienced and prepared for the possibility of a three-patient ratio.

Modules are completed during orientation.
