Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a medical surgical unit. The position will involve working night shifts. A minimum of one year of experience in a medical surgical setting is preferred. Travel experience is required, with previous travel nurses preferred. Every other weekend availability is required. Candidates must have BLS and ACLS certifications at the time of submission. The nurse will be expected to float to other medical surgical/telemetry units as needed. Patient ratios are 6:1 on days, nights, and weekends. The average daily census for the unit is 24 patients. The facility accommodates adults and geriatric patients. The role includes managing various patient diagnoses related to general medical/surgical care. The nurse will perform minor procedures on the unit. Interdisciplinary support will be provided by various specialized teams. The unit is not a neuro unit, though it was previously identified as such. Special equipment on the unit includes smart IV pumps and feeding tube pumps. This position requires effective communication and teamwork skills.
