We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician for a locum tenens position in California through Barton Associates. This 60-day assignment begins on 09/01/2025, at a Multi-Specialty Clinic. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing outpatient primary care services. The physician will be responsible for managing a variety of common conditions, including colds, coughs, and flu, in an outpatient setting. The provider will use Athenahealth software for patient management. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive primary care services in an outpatient setting

• Diagnose and treat common conditions such as colds, coughs, and flu

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and develop treatment plans

• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies

• Utilize Athenahealth software for patient records and treatment planning

• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols

• Collaborate with the multi-specialty team to ensure optimal patient care

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in family practice

• Provide patient education on preventive care and health maintenance

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in California

• Board certification in Family Medicine required
