12-hour shifts (days, nights, or rotating day/night); variable weekend coverage based on unit needs Highlights: Mixed acuity unit caring for both PCU and Medical-Surgical patients with a focus on surgical oncology Patient population includes surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastic/reconstructive surgery cases Staffing ratio goal of 1:4, may be 1:5 depending on census 16-week assignment with 72 hours of orientation including on-unit preceptor support Self-scheduling option available; final schedule balanced by unit leadership every 4 weeks Epic EMR system; interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, respiratory, and rapid response Requirements: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; at least 1 year of current PCU or Step-Down experience within the last 3 years Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission) BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred Experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and dysrhythmia management Epic charting experience required Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager or director) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for experienced progressive care nurses to expand their skills in a fast-paced surgical oncology environment.
