Job Title: Registered Nurse Overview: The skilled and competent nurse functions independently, displaying awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation, providing routine and complex care while developing long-range goals or plans. They continue to refine their ability to adapt with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing, making informed decisions and delegating tasks effectively to other care providers. Responsibilities: Meet the expectations for applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Deliver patient-centered nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice. Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administer medications and treatments, closely monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness, using established protocols. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and provided care accurately. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers, identifying key issues and resources. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred. At least 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, desired. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. RN License in state of employment or compact.
