About The Position
**Job Title:** Emergency Medicine Physician **Job Specialty:** Emergency Medicine **Job Duration:** 12 months **Shift:** 7a-7p; 7p-7a (with two 8-hour shifts available per day) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Board Eligible after successful completion of an accredited residency, or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with 3 years of emergency care experience (for Free-Standing Emergency Departments only) **License:** Valid medical license required **Certifications:** Emergency Medicine Board Eligible **Must-Have:** Proficiency in emergency care procedures, including central access, arterial line, lumbar puncture, intubation, pacing, orthopedic stabilization, etc. **Job Description:** - Provide emergency medical care in a Level 2 Trauma Center environment - Handle a variable census based on location and shift - Work collaboratively with Advanced Practice Providers (APP) and support staff - Participate in an EM residency program and APP training programs as applicable - Manage a variety of emergency cases, including abdominal pain and chest pain, focusing on Vertical 3 and Level 4/5 patients - No on-call responsibilities - Shadow shift orientation conducted on the morning of the first day - Engage in patient care primarily in free-standing and main emergency sites - Conduct emergency procedures and ensure high-quality patient outcomes - Maintain necessary documentation and case logs for credentialing purposes
