About The Position
Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician Job Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension Shift: Flexible shifts including 7a-7p, 7p-7a, and two 8-hour shifts per day Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Emergency Medicine Board Eligible after successful completion of an accredited residency or Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with 3 years of experience License: Licensing requirements as per state regulations Certifications: Proficiency in emergency care procedures including Central Access, Arterial Line, Lumbar Puncture, Intubation, Pacing, and Orthopedic stabilization Must-Have: Competency in emergency medicine procedures and adaptability to various shift requirements Job Description: - Provide quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced, variable environment - Manage a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity, mainly at Level 2 trauma centers - Collaborate effectively with support staff, including Advanced Practice Providers, based on location and shift - Handle common emergency cases such as abdominal pain, chest pain, and other Level 3/4/5 patient categories - Participate in a non-call schedule with day and night shift options - Engage in orientation activities on the first day to familiarize with facility procedures and policies - Contribute to the education and mentorship of resident and APP training programs - Maintain medical credentials and complete necessary emergency privileges as required by the facility
