Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit. The position involves working night shifts. Option for 36 or 48 hours per week is available. Unit welcomes first-time travelers. Float to other units may be required. Weekends may be needed based on the schedule. Patient diagnoses include stroke and surgical patients. Telemetry central monitoring is available 24/7. Interpretation of dysrhythmias is not required. Required certifications include BLS and NIHSS. Scrub colors can be of any type without logos. Patient ratios are 6:1. The daily census averages around 30 patients. The unit includes interdisciplinary support from various services. The environment emphasizes teamwork and collaboration. Skills in telemetry, medical/surgical care, and wound management are necessary. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in nursing practices.
