Description: Seeking a registered nurse for a medical surgical unit. The role involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients. Expected patient ratio is 1 nurse to 6 patients. Weekend work includes 6 shifts within a 6-week period. Float requirements are to like units, based on facility needs. No on-call duty is required. Applicants should possess skills in wound care, oxygen administration, and IV management. Unit has 32 beds with an expected daily census of around 32 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. BLS certification is mandatory, while CPI certification is preferred. The working environment promotes teamwork and collaboration among staff. This position offers an opportunity to enhance skills and experience in a dynamic setting.
