12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night or Nights), self-scheduling with variable weekends based on unit needs Highlights: 36-bed medical oncology unit specializing in solid tumor cancer care across the full patient journey Staffing ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 patients, with interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory, physical therapy, and rapid response teams Epic charting system with telemetry monitoring capabilities Self-scheduling model where you submit preferred availability before final schedules are posted every 4 weeks 72-hour comprehensive orientation including on-unit preceptor training Common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus chemotherapy encounters Requirements: Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience Current specialty experience within the past 3 years BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring Skills in chemotherapy administration, port management, tracheostomy care, IV management, central line blood draws, and blood product administration Epic charting experience required Willingness to float to other Medical/Surgical Oncology units Previous travel experience preferred Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references including at least one manager or director-level reference Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact caring for oncology patients throughout their cancer journey, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care.
