12-hour rotating day/night shifts; self-scheduling with requests entered every 4-week period; weekends variable based on unit needs; staffing ratios goal of 1:4, may be 1:5 Highlights: 36-bed medical oncology unit caring for patients across the full cancer care continuum, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life care Comprehensive solid tumor oncology experience including breast, lung, colon, pancreatic, prostate, and esophageal cancers Collaborative interdisciplinary team including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response, PT, and more Epic charting system with GE telemetry monitoring; 72 hours of structured orientation including first week dayshift classroom and second week preceptor-guided clinical training Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric oncology populations with strong focus on infection prevention and patient safety protocols May float to other medical-surgical oncology units as needed Requirements: Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required; previous travel experience preferred Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred Epic charting system experience required Telemetry interpretation and monitoring skills required Competencies in chemotherapy administration, port access and management, tracheostomy care, blood product administration, central line management, IV starts and maintenance, and isolation precautions Graduation from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program 2 professional references required, including at least one from a formal leadership role Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on oncology patients and their families throughout every stage of the cancer journey.
