12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Nights or Nights only); self-scheduling requests accepted; 36 hours per week Highlights: Mixed acuity unit serving both Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical Surgical patients with oncology focus Patient population includes head and neck cancers, neuro-oncology, and brain tumor patients 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy EPIC charting system with GE telemetry monitoring and modern equipment including Alaris pumps and Stryker beds Self-scheduling opportunities reviewed every 4-week period based on department needs 72 hours of orientation including one week of facility orientation (Monday-Friday, day shift) followed by 36 hours of on-unit preceptorship Requirements: Active Registered Nurse license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; at least 1 year of current specialty experience within the past 3 years EPIC charting system experience required BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy management Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred Oncology experience preferred but not required Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role) Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity levels Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact caring for oncology and medical surgical patients in a supportive, team-based environment with comprehensive clinical resources.
